Feelings of an English teacher

I have been an English teacher since 1982.  I love my job and a few months ago, an ex-student of mine really opened my eyes..he said, " u'r my best english teacher. U teach with passion!"  Oh dear, i was touched.  No other compliment could make my day than that!  then only i realised that i AM a passionate teacher.  not to say that i m bragging of myself, but when my students are not doing well in their performance, i will fall sick, i suffer headaches and my blood pressure goes up!  day and night i will squeeze my brains, thinking on how to make them want and love to learn English.  This year i am teaching a form 3D class, a class of demotivated students who do not have any vision at all.  Previously i used to scold them, i really hated their attitudes as they ( only about 20 students want to study) never really want to study this 'alien subject' but after my suffering from OA ( osteoathritis ) i realised that i need to change my mood, my style and my mission.  Now, i coax them, i talk slow to them so that at least within these 3 months, they will change and come back into my arms and start pulling up their socks!  Alas, only a few boys who are still in the old lane of laziness, but the rest of the students have come to their senses!  Thank God! Now, i truly promise to myself that i will try my fullest effort to guide them on how to at least pass my subject.  Much effort and tedious work is put into my lesson plans so as to make them try to answer the questions.  i pray to God day and night so that these students will pass my subject.  Hope my prayers will be answered and may God bless me and my students!
Indeed, being an English is definitely challenging!

HOLIDAYS - Are they worthy for me?

Holidays have just began...but almost all teachers in Segamat have lots of loads of marking exam papers to mark..as for me,well though i'v undergone almost one whole month of sick-leave, there is actually no holiday for me!  Nevertheless, i'm grateful that i'm still breathing and full of enthusiasm to go back to my students, especially my form 3D students. Even though they are very weak and less motivated in my lesson, as a dynamic teacher i have to make them fall into my lessons.  I will make at most of them pass my lesson!  that's my mission for this year.  Other than that, i also have to focus on my tesis project which i have to put my fullest attention so as to get the best input and achievement.  another mission to be accomplished!  Oh dear God, may all my missions are blessed!
